We work with a local, organic, immigrant owned BIPOC farm in central New Jersey. This means that your flowers are fresher, have a low carbon footprint, and you might actually see your farmer in your neighborhood! By choosing Queens Perennial, you are supporting local and ethically run businesses. Thank you.

FAQs

  • Most flowers have a specific growing season, which means they are only available during that season. For example, tulips are typically only available in the spring, while poinsettias are typically only available in the winter.
Flowers are also affected by weather conditions, such as temperature and rainfall, and this can impact their availability.

  • Peonies, Lisanthius, and Sunflowers.
Peonies are usually only available in May through June.
Lisanthious are available July through September and are increadibly resistant.
The popular sunflowers are available throughout the season once they first bloom, usually in July.

  • Our flowers will differ from week to week! We won’t announce it until the day of distribution in case unseasonal weather like frost or winds causes a pivot in plans. Some flowers to expect for the season include peonies, dahlias, lithianthus, German irises, sunflowers, and much more

  • Most flowers are toxic to pets! We have cats and dogs in our own households and they are not interested in flowers and just ignore them which is fine, but if your pet likes to eat flowers, please know that they are mostly toxic. The large exception is in the celosia flower family, which we will also see in our Flower CSA, but like all the flowers, we won’t know exactly which weeks we will be receiving them.
